Once upon a time, a German woman and a man from Alicante walked hand in hand through the Austrias neighborhood, feeling like the princess and prince of a story that always ended where it began: Madrid.

The city of Cervantes, Quevedo, Velásquez, becomes a sonnet when you are in love. And it is the minimalist pencil of Johann Andreu that takes them on a journey to another time, in which the neighbors become troubadours, the roses bloom and the silhouette of the Palace hides sunsets.

They are Ana and Juan, but they could be any couple, trapped in that moment and place where love in Madrid is much more than love. It is “Austriamor”.

Juan José Sánchez Fernández is an illustrator and graphic designer from Alicante, who signs his works as Johann Andreu.

He knows how to tell stories and was on his way to becoming a film director, until one day he arrived in Madrid to find himself: Johann Andreu was born to be an illustrator. And he has been doing this for 12 years, with clients such as Bacardi, Ogilvy, Logitech, Netflix, Mueve tu Lengua publishing house, Berkana bookstore, Stinorland, Pomada or the Philharmonie de Luxembourg.

Mediterranean colors, flat figures and the use of curved shapes in the lines are his material for communicating ideas with simplicity and beauty.

Johann Andreu shares a very intimate story in the style of the great blockbusters, with the elegance of his pencil and the freshness of his palette. Austramor, the most romantic THE MADRILEÑER.

Quality matters

1. Wooden frames

Available in natural, white, and black, all our frames are made from sustainably sourced wood. They are all handcrafted and finished, and the corners are carefully glued, sealed, and sanded.

2. Premium quality enamel

Our premium acrylic enamels are lightweight and UV-protective. This reduces shipping costs while also protecting your print from fading or discoloration due to sunlight exposure. Less expensive enamels do not offer these protective properties.

3. Museum-quality printing

All our prints are giclée, a process by which we reproduce works of art using a printer to create prints that are an exact replica of the original piece. To create these fine art prints, we combine specialized high-resolution printers with archival paper and inks. This printing method is distinguished by its exceptionally high level of quality and durability.

4. Sealed for protection

The back of each frame is sealed with acid-free archival materials to prevent dust and moisture from entering and damaging the print. Furthermore, our frames are delivered ready to hang, with all the necessary mounting hardware.

And... beware of cheap frames

Many companies sell frames made with acidic materials or using enamels that are not UV resistant. Cheap frames can permanently damage your print and expose it to harmful rays that will fade your artwork.
