Rebeka Elizegi

Rebeka Elizegi is a visual artist and graphic designer graduated from the Massana School of Art and Design from Barcelona.

Collage is the artistic medium that she uses to develop her small, medium and large format pieces, always applying the classic manual collage technique based on the exploration of various materials.

The female figure occupies an important place in her work, although she also focuses on issues such as gender diversity and other issues of a social nature. The images of bodies are also a constant in his work; the body understood as a space that oppresses, that marks and stigmatizes by color, age or gender, that is so often a reason for submission, and that she tries to liberate through his compositions.

Parallel to the exhibitions, which have a more artistic and personal nature, her collages have also illustrated book and magazine covers, as well as records and posters, and have formed part of decoration projects. She has published several illustrated books using the collage technique and is the author of the books collage therapy and Collage signed by Women (Promopress Editions) and creative collage (Editorial Soul).

She has worked for clients like Alma – Obra Social de La Caixa, San Telmo Museum, Gran Meliá Hotels, Mut Project, Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum, km kulturunea, Joven Dolores either jah chango and in the press she has collaborated with the newspapers The Vanguard , Der Spiegel and Le Monde Diplomatique.

Her work has been exhibited in Barcelona, ​​Madrid, Donostia, Los Angeles, Warsaw either Berlin, and herwork has been shown in numerous specialist art and collage publications.

She is a member of the associations of visual artists MAV, BNM and VEGAP. In 2022 he received the award "Outstanding Member of the Year" Hand in hand with the National Association of Women Artists White, Black and Magenta .
