Antonio Copete

Antonio Copete (Seville, 1986) is an illustrator and graphic designer. He studied Fine Arts at the University of Seville and has a master's degree in design from CEADE. He has worked in several advertising agencies and creative studios, developing projects for major brands and institutions.

He currently lives in Cambridge (UK), where he works as a freelancer creating illustrations and graphic design projects for clients, publishers, and various publications.

His style is characterized by:

  • Prominence of drawing and expressive lines
  • Use of bold shapes and vibrant colors, especially primary ones
  • Hand-drawn typography
  • A cheerful, humorous, and ironic tone, present in both his characters and visual narrative

Since 2023, he has been co-directing, along with his colleagues in Seville, The Sevillaner, a project that pays tribute to The New Yorker, where different artists from the city reinterpret Seville through illustrated covers.

In Copete's own words, his goal is for his designs to convey “a cheerful and fun touch,” combining versatility with a recognizable graphic identity.
