I'm a chulapa, what of it?

Here comes our chulapa, so authentically herself, smelling a carnation as if it were the neighborhood's best-kept secret. She wears the traditional dress inherited through generations, as if wrapping herself in a story she has no intention of letting go. Polka dots, a Manila shawl, a headscarf... and that "yes, I'm a gata, what of it?" attitude that only truly emerges when it's been taught at home.

But beware, this chulapa doesn't live in black and white. Between tattoos, carnations, and some modern winks that appear uninvited, she blends tradition and present like someone crossing the street to avoid tourists. Madrid vibrates in every detail: one foot in the past, the other in the future, and she (so unfazed) in the middle.

Authentic, yes, but with a touch of rebellion. She respects what was, enjoys what is, and laughs at what will be. A chulapa who smells of a street fair, of the neighborhood, of history... and also of "This is me, deal with it!".
