Have you ever dreamed of being part of a magical world where the paintings come to life and the characters have their own voice?

This is exactly what young Tania experienced on her first school trip to the capital.

What's up? ” - ask a delicate Degas ballerina. And she tells her that it has happened again... “ It's the meninas that steal all the attention ” - Llimona's sculpture cries inconsolably, while an angry Buscona turns blue with envy to the background notes of a gray guitar.

And Tania questions herself if everything is a dream. If it has happened in a museum, in two or maybe three. But what she does know for sure is that she became an artist that day. And this is irremediable.

Artist: Tania Vicedo

This was Tania's first trip towards what would become her vocation, but certainly  it wasn't her last.

Her curiosity has led her to live in London, Tokyo, Valencia, Barcelona. Her illustrations are nourished by the different experiences and places in which she lived.

And this is how, through simple shapes, limited color palettes and subtle textures, she aspires to incite your curiosity.

Limited edition of 250

Each design is limited to only 250 units, all hand-numbered and with a certificate of authenticity included.

Why_the_Madrilener

Why THE MADRILEÑER?

Carefully selected

Here, quality takes precedence over quantity . We hand-select each artist to offer you bold and expressive works of art that speak of Madrid and will transform your home.

We support independent artists

Run by creatives for creatives, we are passionate about championing and financially empowering emerging artists. Our mission is to increase the visibility (and the flow of money) to talented local artists, which in turn will help them propel their future.

Quality matters

1. Wooden frames

Available in natural, white, and black, all our frames are made from sustainably sourced wood. They are all handcrafted and finished, and the corners are carefully glued, sealed, and sanded.

2. Premium quality enamel

Our premium acrylic enamels are lightweight and UV-protective. This reduces shipping costs while also protecting your print from fading or discoloration due to sunlight exposure. Less expensive enamels do not offer these protective properties.

3. Museum-quality printing

All our prints are giclée, a process by which we reproduce works of art using a printer to create prints that are an exact replica of the original piece. To create these fine art prints, we combine specialized high-resolution printers with archival paper and inks. This printing method is distinguished by its exceptionally high level of quality and durability.

4. Sealed for protection

The back of each frame is sealed with acid-free archival materials to prevent dust and moisture from entering and damaging the print. Furthermore, our frames are delivered ready to hang, with all the necessary mounting hardware.

And... beware of cheap frames

Many companies sell frames made with acidic materials or using enamels that are not UV resistant. Cheap frames can permanently damage your print and expose it to harmful rays that will fade your artwork.

You can rest assured knowing that a THE MADRILEÑER frame is designed to protect our prints, using FSC-certified wood and 100% acid-free materials. That's why our prints have a lifespan of over 80 years, remaining in perfect condition for years... without any fading. Therefore, if you want your print to last, we always recommend purchasing prints with our premium frames.
