El Retiro park is magical in many dimensions, especially for the readers. Only them know that a book is like a portal through which fantastic beings can pass.
In The Bestiary of the Fair, the beasts of each open book wander happily, they decided to stay to enjoy the sunny morning, on the banks of the pond or in the shade of an Ahuehuete tree.
The Cheshire cat, the Koi fish or even an elephant from some Indian story... if you are immerse into a good story, you will feel their presence immediately. But if you just passed by them, "fear not" : you will only experience a refreshing desire to read.
This print was a collaborative project, developed exclusively for the RRSS space of the Madrid Book Fair 2022 .
Artist: Rut Pedreno
Rut's inner richness gushes out and takes on a life of its own every time she creates a character or works on an illustration.
Perhaps for this reason, and despite her youth, Rut has already received important recognitions such as the award for Best Children's and Youth Comic from the Barcelona Comic Fair.
Graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, Rut has collaborated on projects as an independent artist, and although her work focuses on comics and publications, she seeks to break out of that framework by exploring different formats and media such as murals, animation, self-publishing or expository.

Quality matters
1. Wooden frames
Available in natural, white, and black, all our frames are made from sustainably sourced wood. They are all handcrafted and finished, and the corners are carefully glued, sealed, and sanded.
2. Premium quality enamel
Our premium acrylic enamels are lightweight and UV-protective. This reduces shipping costs while also protecting your print from fading or discoloration due to sunlight exposure. Less expensive enamels do not offer these protective properties.
3. Museum-quality printing
All our prints are giclée, a process by which we reproduce works of art using a printer to create prints that are an exact replica of the original piece. To create these fine art prints, we combine specialized high-resolution printers with archival paper and inks. This printing method is distinguished by its exceptionally high level of quality and durability.
4. Sealed for protection
The back of each frame is sealed with acid-free archival materials to prevent dust and moisture from entering and damaging the print. Furthermore, our frames are delivered ready to hang, with all the necessary mounting hardware.
And... beware of cheap frames
Many companies sell frames made with acidic materials or using enamels that are not UV resistant. Cheap frames can permanently damage your print and expose it to harmful rays that will fade your artwork.
You can rest assured knowing that a THE MADRILEÑER frame is designed to protect our prints, using FSC-certified wood and 100% acid-free materials. That's why our prints have a lifespan of over 80 years, remaining in perfect condition for years... without any fading. Therefore, if you want your print to last, we always recommend purchasing prints with our premium frames.
